Welcome everyone! It’s Tuesday, June 17, 2008 and today we’re going to talk about Postcards as an offline marketing technique to complement your Internet Marketing campaign.

But first I mentioned yesterday that I didn’t get time over the weekend to do much reading and I still haven’t finished the book by Robin Sharma called “The Greatness Guide”. Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been talking about some ideas he’s mentioned in his book and quoting some excerpts.

Today I’d like to mention chapter 40 the title of which is, “To Be More Productive, Relax and Have More Fun”. It’s kind of tough to argue with that statement. His main point in this chapter is, I believe, Spending all your time working will not make you more productive. He says it’s been his experience that few people get their best ideas at work. Refusing to take vacations will not make you a star performer.

Most people get their best ideas when they’re relaxed and having fun. “Creativity comes when you are relaxed, happy and enjoying the moment.” “Relaxing, having fun and making time for vacations actually makes you more successful”.

Mireille Guiliano, the CEO of Clicquot, said it well:”We have to take beach time, a space for ourselves every day, because we live in a world of burn out. Even if you take 20 or 30 minutes for yourself you’ll be a better worker, a better colleague, a better person. It benefits the people around you as much as it benefits you.”

So have some fun, laugh with your co-workers, go for a walk at lunch. Go fishing or swimming or golfing this weekend and you’ll be more productive for it in the long run.

Postcards Can Be an Effective Addition to Any Internet Marketing Campaign

Postcards are a cost effective way to advertise your company. They are serious marketing tools and act as tiny billboards with a big message.
